Paper Presentation on 3D Machine vision systems as shop floor metrology tool

Machine vision refers to applications in which the PC automatically makes a
decision based on visual input from a camera. Machine vision is a term typically used in
industrial manufacturing, where applications range from culling blemished oranges from
a conveyor belt to saving lives by inspecting to ensure that the correct drug capsule has
been placed in the package before the product is shipped to the pharmacy.

Basic Of Civil Engineering PDF Free Ebook Download

All engineering students should know basic civil engineering since they need interaction with civil engineers in their routine works. Hence all important aspects of civil engineering are taught as elements of civil engineering in all over the world. It covers entire syllabus on Basic Civil Engineering. The author has tried to make it students friendly by providing neat sketches and
illustrations with practical problems, wherever necessary. Author hopes that students and faculty will receive this book whole-heartedly. Corrections, if any and suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Civil Engineering Project Management PDF Download

Most civil engineering construction projects are completed to time and budget but few get publicity for it. More often building projects are reported as exceeding time or budget because a building has to cater for the diverse needs of the many users of the building which can be difficult to forecast or may change as construction proceeds. In civil engineering the principal hazards come from the need to deal with below ground conditions, make structures out of re-assembled soils or rocks, and to cater for the forces of impounded or flowing water. The construction of roads, railways, tunnels, bridges, pipelines, dams, harbours, canals and river training measures, flood and sea defences, must all be tailored to the conditions found on site as construction proceeds because it is not possible to foresee such conditions in every detail beforehand.

Career In Civil Engineering

Civil engineering is one of the professional disciplines of engineering and contains a variety of specialties like structural, water related, environmental, architectural, transportation and geo-technical engineering. Civil Engineering deals with planning, designing and executing construction activities that include physical and natural structures. It involves structuring public works like roads, buildings, bridges, canals, tunnels, airports, dams, ports, sewage systems and multitude of others. It takes place on all levels in both public and private sectors, from municipal to federal and from individual homeowners to international companies.

Rice Husk Ash and Lime has been used as cement in the fabrication of hollow, load bearing blocks and for mortar in plaster.

The roof is prefabricated and consists of battens tiles; here too port land cement has been replaced by Rice Husk Ash to the extent of 30%.

The foundation and base course are made up with soil stabilized with cement.

The cost of construction was reduced by 37%as compared to cost of construction by conventional methods.

Civil Engineering Hydraulics PDF Download

This book is designed to meet the special , but not exclusive, needs of civil engineering students reading for degrees and diplomas and for engineering. Having as its main feature a substantial number of worked examples , its purpose is to augment lecture courses and lectures on fluid mechanics and hydraulics by illustrating the theory to a wide range of practical situations . A fluid is a substance which deforms continously, or flows, when subjected to shear stresses . the term fluid embraces both gases and liquids; a given mass of liquid will occupy a definite volume whereas a gas will fill its container. gases are readily compressible; the low compressibility, or elastic volumetric deformation, of liquids is generally neglected in computations except those relating to large depths in the oceans and in pressure transients in pipelines. This book however deals exclusively with liquids and more particularly with Newtonian liquids , i.e. those having a linear relationship between shear stress and rate of deformation.

High Performance Concrete -

The current trend of use of superlatives in concrete technology may strike as
somewhat disconcerting to many .We had high strength concrete, hyperplasticiser, and
superplasticisers, very reactive Pozzolana, and now high performance concrete. It is difficult to imagine any concrete being manufactured and used, which is not intended to perform to the extent; high performance concrete is not a new material of construction.

Construction of pre-fabricated building components using flyash

In today’s world, where speed and convenience play a big part in influencing the use of any product, the age of prefabricated housing products seems to have finally arrived. The usefulness of these products help significantly in speeding up construction by offering ready-to-install building elements such as blocks, joist beams, roof blocks and panels is being widely recognised in the industry.
